Re: slantzilla up dates daytona - 03/01/11 12:55 AM

It's sitting down at my shop awaiting warmer weather so I can bring it home and finish it. (No heat in my shop, home garage full of vehicles)

Chassis is pretty much done, headers have been built and coated. Gotta do a rewire and plumbing, then drop in my good motor and trans.

Hopefully it goes straight when we hit the gas.

Piece of cake, right?

WHAT do you figure it is going to weigh ?

I am a Geee-body fan me-self ... STILL looking for a Pro-Streeter.

That would be awesome light. Do you have any glass parts?
I have to get mine down around there or lower.
Are you going to turbo the /6?

Only 'glass on it is the hood for now. As we get it shook out we may try to lighten it up more. It does have lexan in all the windows too.

It is sitting down at my shop ready for the engine/trans to go in. My shop is 70 miles from my house.

My ADD seems to kick in. I keep collecting too many other projects.

I also work 6 days a week. Pretty hard to get excited about working on it in my free time. Don't have time to race it anyway.

I've had the car 5 years now. Don't really care if it gets done or not.

Thats the reason I HAVE to knock out a project in a timely
manner... if I sit on the project for tooo long I
loose the interest in it...some times if the money
isnt there to do the project or the time then I shouldnt
have got the project in the first place... I really
hate to start it then end up selling it and loosing
money on a unfinished project........ JMO

Wish I was closer we could drink and get you motivated to finish that puppy up. I too get busy sometimes and loose interest but that`s the time to flip the brain switch and "get er done"............

Re: slantzilla up dates daytona - 02/04/14 09:07 PM

Thanks guys.

The car will eventually be finished, if not by me, by my buddy who did all the fab work.

Another side of the issue is that the Slant series I used to run is pretty much dead in the Midwest. Closest race is about 6 hours away and I just don't have the desire to travel or the vacation time anymore.

Worse comes to worse, I have all the stuff yet to put a small block in it.

It will not be sold until it goes on my estate sale next to my SRT-8 and ZX-14.
