Mini Monster Mopar?? - 02/24/11 11:40 PM

Just announced today..
MAJOR SCHEDULE CHANGE ANNOUNCED
Cedar Falls Raceway announced today a major schedule change for 2011. The Mopar Event orgianally scheduled for June 11 & 12 has been moved to Saturday and Sunday, September 24 & 25. "The change was made for a variety of reasons including a potential sponsorship opportunity as well as creating more time to prepare properly for the event" said Dan Driscoll. The Saturday, June 11 date will now be Fun Day (open racing) along with the 10.5" class. "We are very committed to making Cedar Falls Raceway the home for a big time Mopar Event and appreciate help anyone can supply" continued Driscoll.

More information on the Mopar Event on September 24 & 25 will be forthcoming.
I will keep everyone posted on what is going on....Ted

its a few miles north of cedar falls - about a mile west of 218 , but yes its west of tri state , off hwy 20 , well , kind of .....

So all the other heads up guys need to get to Cedar Falls , Iowa in September .

They will promptly get their ASSES handed to them on a nice silver platter.

There is a Duster around here that will be at CF with DOT tires and mufflers that will Rip the ass out of any "street" car around these parts.........

What classes will they run? I would love to bring the Challenger there. I was disappointed when it was in June because I plan to run the NHRA divisional in Chicago that weekend. I love running at Cedar Falls in September.

You should also try to get a Nostalgia Super Stock class together, they're a bunch of us that should be able to come. nothing else going on around that time.

i can run that by dan when i talk to him.i think hes pretty open to suggestion at this point just wants a good car count

I thought that the track mangager was very friendly the only time i've been there, thanking everyone in the staging lanes for coming out before first round was run. All the staff were friendly and profesional, great place to race, in my opinion. Any chance of a sportsman/street class on that Mopar weekend?

I agree -- never had any problems with the staff at CF
