Has anyone used one? I bought one and I'm just wondering if there is any mods I have to do to it or is it a direct bolt in. Thanks

If you have either the 130 or 142 tooth flywheel it is a bolt in and use, if you have a 170 (173?) tooth with the direct drive starter your SOL(solidly out of luck )I used both both brands, Lakewood and Ansens in my 1970 Cuda with a 1968 street hemi motor that had the 170 tooth flywheel. I had to switch to a 142 tooth flywheel and the gear reduction starter to use the first ansen scattershield I later switch to a 130 tooth flywheel with the 10.95 clutch and pressure plate. several things come into play, the Z bar mounts, the front bearing size and the throw out arm. All of the Z bar mounts I have seen unbolt from the stock bellhousing and bolt correctly on the scatter sheilds Both of the scatter shields I had came with adapters to move the starter and a adapter ring to insert in the front of the scatter sheild to use the small front bearing transmissions, I ran a 18 spline trannys with the large front bearings so I didn't use the adapter rings, I still have one

The earlier lakewoods like I have had serviced only one flywheel , 143 tooth,Gee could it be out of cert? later in the 70's they came out with the 2 position 130-143 tooth bell, Should bolt right up with no problem. As cab said the bearing retainer hole is critical , make sure it fits or get a bushing or a larger retainer. Brewer Performance or Passion have them.

Thanks for the info. My flywheel is the 142 one. I dont have the bell housing yet. My starter is a mini powermaster one. I just wanted to see if there were any issues with that kind of bell housing.

You will have to clearance the flanges on it if you use TTI headers with it.
