So guess we are going to go down to PBIR on 10.5s.

Should be interesting to say the least. Car sure does look funny though

Why would you put a small tire on that car?
I never thought putting too small a tire on a car was a good idea...

What rim width and exact tire did you mount? What was the resulting section width?
Do you have electronic traction control? timing control etc.

Because those are the rules so we can run at the event.

It's done all the time, will be a first for us.

It is a 16x16 dbl beadlock.

looks good jim,i was thinking of doing the same deal here with the local track,and putting on 10.5`s.i wont be competitive, but will be fun.maybe next year or sooner, if i can just sell this motor, i can start on building my big motor.

It's pretty amazing how small these tires are when compared to the "big tires". Remember, big burnouts are not needed. Did you use tubes? Where did you end up getting them?

You guys that don't know..WAAYYYY, underestimate this tire. It is an awesome tire that works great. Brad Personet, recently strapped some 10.5s on the back of his NHRA, national event winning, twin turbo HEMI Pro-Mod and promptly went in the 5 sec zone. I think Jimmy will be fine.

The tire is very stable at speed...it's just all about power management early

Yes it has tubes. A local horsepowersales was nice enough to help out

Small tires look better to me and would look awesome on your car but something seems off in the backspacing. Tire needs to come out closer to the wheel lip or something??

Best of luck with it.
I have seen 10.5 guys lay down some amazing laps , so it can be done.
I was spectating at an 1/8th mile track outside Houston and the big problem for some of those guys wasn't hooking...........it was getting stopped.
I'll be looking forward to some quality video.

It's not worth spending 3 grand on new wheels and the car was built for wider tires.

It's not worth spending 3 grand on new wheels and the car was built for wider tires.

It would need a whole new rear housing and that's not happening.
