broken engine repair help needed in Phoenix area - 01/21/11 12:24 AM

I built a 440 for a friend in Phoenix 4-5 years ago. It wiped the cam recently and needs repair.
It has Eddy heads, comp hydraulic,K.B. pistons, and a factory cross ram. I don't know if it damaged anything else besides the #7 intake lobe, still has normal oil pressure. Anybody know where he could take it to be repaired? I'm in Michigan so it's a little tough for me to do it.

It may be true any good machine shop can work on Mopars just as good as chevy's & fords. Just make sure you take your race engines to a shop that works only on race engines. If your local shop works on everything from tractors to lawn mowers, guess what the quality of work you will be. I found this out the hard way!

dvw,
Are you looking for a machine shop, or a place to take the whole car, for a diagnosis and repair? If your buddy doesn't want to wrench on it, I would suggest Magoo's Automotive, 623-362-1765. John Schurr, is the owner, and runs the shop out of his back yard in a spacious, well-equipped shop. He was a chrysler line mechanic for many years, and races a Bigblock 67 Valiant in the 10's. He has worked on my Daily drivers for over 10 years, very fair, and reliable.

I'll throw Comp Chassis out there as a possibility. I was very pleased with what those guys did for me.
