Da Beast. When I built this car back in the mid 90s it was originally for the street. The first time one of my bow tie buddies saw it he said “That things a beast”. The name stuck. After two years of having fun on the street, it became a full time foot brake bracket car. It has sat in storage since 2002, but is being put back on the track this summer with a new 496 wedge.

There was a black 57 Chevy here in Nor Cal back in the early 80's and although it was Chevy the guy "cut and placed" a big white Direct Connention sticker on the back. It read:

Direct erection!

Even cut and placed the arrows correct. I wish I had a pic...

My old ride. The "Awesome Possum". The name came from my wife's comment on the front end/headlight arrangement,,,said "it looks like a @%&*!!&% opposum"...so the name stuck. The 'm' in possum had the Mopar 'm'. Not a real good pic, but only one I can find right now.

I like the shut down at 411. they have great potential. 411 used to be the second best track around Bristol being the best compared to about anybody.

My '71 Fury was "Land Yacht"
The '78 Mercury Marquis was "Land Yacht 2", of course.
I've had a few cars with the "Metal Circus" moniker.
My next car will be named "The Hard Way". It's a tribute to my dad, who would win with junk, slow street cars. I've kinda carried on that tradition.

My brothers car is The Buckeye Brawler.

My mom's cousin used to race an old vette called the The Witt Kit. Witt is his last name.

A friend of mines duster is called the Dustpan.

A fellow racer at Norwalk has/had a camaro called Coming Unglued. Unfortunately he was involved in a very bad accident with it at the Halloween Classic last October. Always one of my favorite names for a racecar.

My car has a lot of names. Depends on my mood and how its treating me that day. LOL

I saw a couple of cars at Norwalk not long ago and I think they were both Plymouth RR's or Sat painted exactly the same. I was confused at first because I did not see them together but I saw the same car with 2 different names Then I saw them together in the pits and I think it was a husband and wife team.

her car ---- "Deal With It"

his car ---- "Dealt With It"

Or it could have been reversed as I didn't talk to them --very kool

Since I am running ethanol (moon shine), and my car is white;
I was thinking "White Lighting" would be appropriate.

my uncle's C/SA hemi was white and called white lightnin. was a beautiful car.

I remember the old days when every car had a name. Hard Times, House of glass. Pure Aggrivation. so many cool names, but with todays DOT rules you better be careful with names and stickers or make sure all of your ducks are in a row with laws.

One of my favorites of all time. Too bad my friend won't get the last incarnation out anymore.

This version was the first door car in the 6's.

Other paint schemes had a girl w/ a martini glass.

I was hoping the '86 model that Jim raced was coming back out about a decade ago but that got scuddled. The '97 model has sat for 5-6 years at this point, maybe longer.
