BB cylinder head with 187 casting # - 01/08/11 12:34 AM

What is the bb head with the last 3 digits "187"? It's a replacement in Stock class racing. I don't seem to recall it. Thanks

must be looking at another number, i havent heard of those, and just pulled out the MP engine book...sorry its not listed, and every casting head is, even back to 1960 even the early Max Wedge heads...
Look for another set of numbers..and see what you can find..

Ihra has 187 listed as a replacement for 906, 452, 346,etc in 'crate motor' stock 410 hp 440 blueprint specs. That wouldn't be the last 3 digits for the old DC stageIV heads, would it?

I have looked into this before. I stil have not found out what a 187 casting head is. I do not remember the stage IV casting number, but I know it did not end in 187....Jim
