Drag car front end alignment...NOR CAL??

Drag car front end alignment...NOR CAL?? - 01/05/11 02:35 AM

Our regular guy isn't available this week, so who in Nor Cal does a RACE CAR front end alignment. The regular shops won't touch it since it's a "race car" and the one that will, will only align it to OEM specs, not my specs. Any suggestions??

Seems like the "chassis shops" don't have racks...

Thanks!

Point away. There are a couple of vendors on Norcal1320 that I'll call tomorrow but time if of the essence, so I'll take all the help I can get!

Thanks

Ha! Thanks, Bill but it's already too cold here (high 30's) and I outgrew my only snowshoes! Actually we were just talking about that, could probably get it done within a couple of miles from the house...as long as our house was in OH, IN, IL or MI...LOL!! Most all here in CA are concerned with getting sued if they align to non-OEM specs and the words "race car" are a big no-no. Soon it's gonna be tough to get any hi-po work done out here! Grrrrrrr....

If you want to come out my way, I can hook you up with "the man" Doug. One of the best around and a die hard Mopar man.

If you are willing to drive north to Sacramento, consider Linville Brothers. Great crew there.

Dom, appreciate it, but we're trying to get it done so we can make TnT this Friday and race on Saturday...not enough time to tow down there.

Meanwhile, frankenduster: Called and spoke to John @ Linville Bros this morning and they're going to have us on the rack at 8:00 am Friday! Said they have no issues with a race car, we agreed in spec goals and he even spoke "Mopar"...LOL!

THANK YOU!!

The guys there have been the "Go to" guys for years.
I took my Charger in there once after putting in the Fast ratio idler and pitman arms. I gave them the alignment #s I wanted, and sat down in the lobby. The man came in 15 minutes later. I thought that he had found something wrong. I was quite pleased when the man said that the car was actually already at the numbers that I requested. He could have spent an hour standing around and still charged me, instead he took the high road and was honest. I tipped him $20 anyway.

Man!! These guys are good...
1) Knew on the phone what I was talking about and seemed like he WANTED my business.
2) Plenty of room to unload the trailer.
3) They were ready when we got there.
4) Asked me what I wanted for specs, ride height, etc...
5) Got it done in less than 90 minutes!
6) Car drives straight as a string at 129 mph.

frankenduster...you da man!

I'm glad it worked out for you.
This whole "Internet" thing seems to be working out pretty good. Do you think that it will last long?

I think it's GREAT to be able to share all of this info with other Mopar heads world wide with the touch of some keys. Do I think it will last?? I think we've only scratched the surface of what uses the internet can have...
