i was talkin to a friend, the question is,a cylinder head durability,is a heavy meaning alot more material cylinder head, better for longevity, than a light less material cylinder head for instance an indy 360-1 is alot heavier than a w9 especially using no2?

Basically it would be. But a lot depends on where that extra weight/material is, including how much material a certain area has as opposed to how much coolant is allowed or restricted in that area by that extra material.

I never made a weight comparison, but one example might be later model OEM heads. They would tend to use less material for weight and economics but are more crack-prone in the valve area than older OEM heads.

I believe there was some problem of some cast iron W-2 heads breaking at the corner ears. So later versions had weight in the form of ribs added.
