There was a nice thread on here once that had a good bit of info on Piston to valve clearance. Im just trying to find it.

The book shows it as .100 intake and .120 exhaust but
it also says you can go to .090... I have gone closer
than .070 with a auto trans

im running wo gasket 69 / 90
i have a ton
leaving some hp on the table
this is just a shack down motor anyway
put big one in make it lot closer
prob be 60, 80 with gasket


ooo i wasnt kidding on those ss guys , they use all the chamber they leave almost nothing most hit on the big end they call it tap out
i call it oooo my

.080 / .100 is the " industry standard".

.080 intake .100 exhaust because the exhaust grows mor correct???

yes but valve chasing piston thing
exhaust always closer it changes the more advance you get on cam

I use .050 as the minimum on the intakes and .060 on the exhaust
