Wow....that was one pathetic picture after another, until I saw the dog watching the welding from about three feet away. That kid is an idiot.

I was waiting to see some bloody finger/hand mutilation photos after seeing his drill press setup. I'm also surprised there are no stories about the blind dog (welding) or that the garage didn't catch fire.

I fully realize that by simply viewing the thread... That I am now dumber for it through osmosis.

But somehow it made me FEEL smarter and more skilled after seeing the bottom end of the fabrication scale.

ok so I also thought how bad can it be?
but then looked and yikes hese a nut case in all respects. takes off weight with good intention but then adds on double the pounds of patch and hardware.
got to give him a ten for follow thruogh.
poor dogs eyes. at least hes giving the kid a hump in the leg for it....
I also think he someday wants to be a welders helper on a chrysler K frame line. LOL

this is the pitfall of DIY on tv shows..they make it look easy..
i am a contractor/remodeler..some of the stuff these homeowners try to pass off as accpetible...is laughable at best..and dangerous most often at worst..

They have seem to become aware of the animal cruelty issue and have whacked the pics or the owner has edited the content.There are a few other bike sites that have crucified him for welding in front of the dog.I got to view a few images before the site crashed or it was deleted

I always was split between admiring the engineering in crotch rockets and believing they were created to enhance natural selection.

I say this guy is wasting his time with that little bike, let's get him a proper modern liter bike- around 350-400 lbs and 180hp sound about right to anybody else?
