money isnt an object, post your build - 12/23/10 02:44 PM

Just curious what you guy would have built, small block, or big block, or HEMI?

Id go with a state of the art small block and make as much power from no power adders as possible.

IF money was no problem... I'd go hand Allen Johnson
a check for his whole car... just that simple... but
I'd still have to have a driver... so Doug would have
upgrade his NEW license.... but I have been a SB
guy for a long time but I did just sell my BB stuff
this week (mega block and B1 M/C heads)

with hemi,
then bring back pinks all out

Re: money isnt an object, post your build - 12/23/10 05:02 PM

My build would be,
600+ cube raised cam hemi, (may substitute Predator heads)
FAST EFI, big injectors fitted to sheet metal intake
Single Turbonetics 122mm TNX turbo
Liquid intercooler
Pump gas friendly (at low boost anyway)
2000+HP goal
Istalled in modern car, possible ex-pro stocker or maybe drag radial class legal but prefer it to be street drivable

Money is an object but we just took delivery of my dream combo. It's a BAE hemi with Brad 8 heads for our Outlaw 10.5 car.

I'm a street/strip guy so I'd build a big inch gen 3 Hemi and put it in a nice A-body and have some fun.

Re: money isnt an object, post your build - 12/23/10 06:27 PM

I'll keep it simple. I would buy Jeff Teuton's Stock class 5.9 Magnum Fuel Injected Drag Pack Challenger.

If he wouldn't sell, I would have to get one built from scratch. There were only 3 made with a 5.9. I don't care for the second option because one thing money can't buy is TIME. I would want to race it ASAP instead of waiting for it to get built.

Re: money isnt an object, post your build - 12/23/10 06:58 PM

I would have to get back into tractor pulling, but it would take alot of money.

SuperStock is costly, and even in the 80-s running a pro modified a 8.3 litre aries hemi was 40k hat to pan x that times 4.

Maybe im wrong but I think it may take a top fuel type budget to run with the big dogs.

I like Mr P-Bodys idea as well, on AJs car.

Black SS dart with a Top Fuel Hemi, then one quite summer night I'd do a burn out down main street.

A 64 SS/B Savoy with Wescott power and have Mike Roth do the chassis. Then blow the doors off those fords in class elims.

Or just buy the Honkin Hemi. Awesome!

Re: money isnt an object, post your build - 12/23/10 07:38 PM

Well id want a BAD AZZ small block, get the demon completely professionally redone, have my own track built, buy some of the land off these filthy rich farmers around here to build it, on

Then Id have to built a stadium truck and it would be state of the are but have full exhaust, and working tail lights. An 800+ hp 4x4 truck would be SOOOO fun.

Id have to have a full machine shop to build whatever power plant I could have.

thats all.

Close to what I would do...

68 RoadRunner with Mike Roth building the chassis, Wescott build the HEMI, and Bucky laying down the lace, and gold leaf. Try and clean up in SS/C or D, what ever the car would fit in.

Simple- A SS/DA Hemi Cuda look-alike with a glass fenders and hood, tubular k-member, R&P steer, and a big-inch small-block just. Either that or a SS/GT style 2 dr Reliant with a small block. Yeah, I know I'm weird.

Pro stock would be a blast, but only if it comes with a crew to wrench on it lol.

Slightly more realistic and dear to my heart would be a Super Stock Challenger. New or old, I'm not picky. Something like Eric Bell's car or a big tire modern hemi or V10 Drag Pack.

Re: money isnt an object, post your build - 12/25/10 04:47 AM

Well, I'd like a 69 GTX, big inch RB with EFI and a 5 speed. I'd drive it everywhere.

For my puller, a 485" iron headed B block making 850 hp, and turning 9,000 rpms, hooked to a Profab drop box and taking it to the Chevy boys.

I'd also have to get a 4X4 Diesel Pulling truck too. 850 hp, thousands of foot lbs of torque all wrapped in a 1993 Dodge W250 body. Gotta keep it old school.

All being hauled around at various times behind my 85 Dodge crew with twin turbos, a 6 speed cruising to the next pull.

Re: money isnt an object, post your build - 12/25/10 06:31 PM

There are a couple of ideas I liked:

For N/A, I would either do an all aluminum 600 cube Predator KB block or the Billet block Pro Stock 650 cube hemi one of the guys on here did that was just awesome.. Both would be super awesome, and I would do drag week on either with pump gas! Could you see my Cuda with a stock looking shacker hood and underneth, a 600 cube Predator motor on pump gas cruising around!

My other thought for a boosted application:

Pete Farbers NMCA truck with a procharged BAE6 or Predator motor....I like the prochargers do to the fact that they are a little smaller, but make huge hp...Heck a 6.1 Hemi in a light vehicle would be awesome.

Almost bought this truck, but its the year I lost my job and was unemployed for almost 7 months with a new house.

My build would be 2 cars. First off I'm calling M&M to build me a dragster for big bucks bracket racing. Will have a BBC run 7.0s on motor and 6.60s on the juice. Then my big bucks bottom bulb car will be 70 Challenger decked out just as the Jeg's nova wagon is. Probably have a 572 Indy engine in it with a glide. Would be an excellent foot brake car or trans brake.
