What shifters do you guys like for reverse manual???? - 12/05/10 06:24 AM

Just want an Idea of what the good and bad shifters are for a 904 reverse manual valve body. Will go to trans brake eventually but don't think I'll get one right away, but would like a shifter compatible.

TA works great with my brake & it even has a sticker avail for the shifter when using a safe nuetral after D. shame none of my crew can get the car off the trailer tho. i guess one day i'll teach them how it works .

I like my tried and true B&M Quicksilver. I've never had any trouble with it.

My kid has the Hurst pistol in his 62 300.Its been in for 8 years and no problems.It even has the button for line lock.Rocky

My car has a Hurst Auto Stick 3 in it since it was built in 1981.Still works great today.

Turbo Action. I have run some of the CHEAPER more popular ones in the past and there is no comparison. I have never use a PPP but have heard lots of good about them.

I have both the T and the ball but left the ball on
it... I just use 2 fingers and a little flip of the
wrist to shift.... both the T and the ball have the
button in them which I use for the line lock in the
burnout

Thanks for all the info guys. Seems like every company makes a good shifter. Haven't heard anyone complain or say a brand/model they wouldn't buy.

So with that being said I really haven't been swayed any which way. I do like the look of PPP shifter. But being a 4 speed guy I've always been loyal to Hurst.

B&M pro ratchet with no problems. Homemade air shifter adapted to it 2 years ago with no problems.

As a side note, my brother had his pro ratchet skip gears when we really yanked on it. He welded stops in it and has had no problems since. He drives like a gorilla though!

I love my pro ratchet. No matter how hard i yank on it, it only goes 1 gear!

I am also running a 904 with a brake.

But if i were to buy a new one, hands down i would go with the triple P!!!

they do, you just change the gear indicator sticker to suit the different layout.
