Hey guys, does any bodiy now anything about these blowers? I have a 1968 Charger with set up on a 440 backed by a 727 with a cheetah manual valve body and 3:55 POSI. Fed thur a 750 AFB and a holley manual street pump. Would like to make a little more power and want to ad a/c. Can't find nothing yet on the web. Any info would be great. Thanks Moparts

looks real similar to the b&m and weiand style. 142 is a little small as they are ci. sensitive. its not gonna make hardly any boost on a 440, it may even be restricting. that particular size was really intended for sbf 302 and the like.

I have a Weiand 142...but its mounted on a 360" Chevy...I can make as much as 14psi...I have all the upper and lower pullies to where I can change the boost..

the Weiand "cavitates" bad close to 18,000 rpm rotor speed...I try and keep it no more than 17,000 ...what happens when you reach its limits is that the engine feels like it hit a brick wall..

as far as on a big block..yeah a bigger blower is alway better but it will still make boost...at least 10psi or more..depending on engine rpm and pullies used..if the rotors are good..

but I do have to say they were primarly designed for 6-8 psi

one more thing...from the bottom of the intake(sbc)to the top of the carb, its 11.5 inches..

I know its apples to oranges but its the blower application

A good friend of mine runs a 144 holley powercharger on a smallblock chev and when we switched the pulleys and got over 10 lbs of boost it seemed to create more heat then power.
