Does anyone have a coil over front end with cal-tracs on rear. If so how does it work for you, How fast is your car. Thanks

Works good so far. I think the coils overs I have are a little stiff though. The front doesn't really rise much, but it hooks hard. Car should be 6.10's in the 1/8th, but technical difficulties have only allowed me to run 7.0 at 100mph....Street car though with mufflers. MF front end, mon leaf caltrac back end.
Caltracs work....

i do. i did not get it installed until the end of this season so i only made it out a couple of times. i'm still sorting it out, but it did give me a new best. the previous best at my local track was 10.18 60' was 1.46, last time out went 10.06 @ 134.62 with a 1.42 60' season ended so i'm waiting for next year to start.

I'm curious as to how it works on a marginal track.
I am running a stock front end with 5" of travel and it is hit and miss on a marginal track. This is one of the things I need to work on this winter. Beep

I have an Alterktion front end and Caltracs mono-leafs and bars on the rear of my Demon.
Sorry I can't post results, it's still in a million pieces.

I think you will be OK as long as you can get plenty of front end upward travel, IIRC Calverts recommend at least 5 inches.
Though I have a stock type front end on my car, I do know a racer who switched to an Alston front clip on his C***y. He didn't have as much front travel with this compared to stock and has been struggling with 60ft times ever since.

I've considered going coil overs on my street/strip Dart but I think my car is to heavy and doesn't have enough power for the coil overs to work. my Dart is 3260# and runs high 6.50s in the 1/8 with high 1.30 60'. As it sits now I have 5.5" of front travel, most of the coil over shocks I've seen are 5" stroke, so I don't know how much travel you could get with them. Mine's hit and miss on hooking at marginal tracks too.
