Doing that kind of lap , given the restrictions that the rules impose is almost as amazing as what they do to fit " inside " those rules.
Very nice job.

Re: Flying Fish 8.22@162 - 11/28/10 09:45 PM

facebook LOL, yesterday he had a 1.148 60' so I assume the 1.20 60' on the 8.22 run was with the back tires

Re: Flying Fish 8.22@162 - 11/28/10 09:49 PM

heck looking at the 330 he may have spun on the 8.22 pass, I guess that would explain the high MPH

How do they get the front tires to stay in the wheelwells on launch on those cars with a stock k member frontend?

actually what probably happened is the clutch was set up better on the 25 run and slipped more off the starting line and at the bottom of gear changes therefore not driving as hard through the gears.. then with the clutch tight it pulled the motor down and didnt 60' as well but ran the rest better...

you can usually tell from his light,,, if its a slower light id say the clutch was set up loose,, and it slipped... charlie is usually good on the tree

but only he would beable to answer this correctly,,, maybe me posting this will bring him back on here,, cause if you ever seen before,,, he likes to tell me im wrong

Love the illegal burnout. Comp, Alchohol, and the Pros are the only ones allowed to go past the starting line.

That question was raised on Classracer too. Apparently it's leagal as long as you don't burn out across the line under power. Another racer said he was off the gas before the starting line.

Re: Flying Fish 8.22@162 - 11/30/10 01:55 AM

8.221 @ 162.72 MPH

So, that's like 1040-1050 HP out of about 441" max and S/S restrictions.

HP/in³ would be like 820 HP out of my 346" with factory heads.

That's Incredible!

A simple way to do it is make aluminum spacers for the upper A arm bumpers. I spaced mine out 1.25 inches with 1.5 inch diameter round bar stock.
