Yup, that sucks. I'll do a minimal rebuild on the 340 and hope that the new strip in Eolia MO becomes a reality.

It looks like Dover ran the circle track side, any idea what will happen to the drag strip??

Dover owns and runs (ran) the whole facility, not just the circle track. This means the dragstrip is done until further notice.

that really sucks...let's hope for the best 
that being said, i miss the Gateway of old (back when the cars ran in the opposite direction). plenty of parking, the swap meet space was close, and no seldom used oval track to eat up space.
i don't mind walking, but i know of a few people that would not attend the new Gateway because they had to make such long walks.

Heard yesterday that Pevely is for sale. Probably just a rumor, but wouldn't it be great if they opened the drag strip portion again? I believe there is a go-cart track in the shut down area now.

I'd love it if the reopened Pevely (I-55 raceway).
I could be at the track from my house in 10 minutes or less.
I've heard that there's a go cart track on some part of the drag strip too.

Pevely was fun while it lasted, but the shutdown area is so short that in the early 90's cars were in the sand on a semi regular basis. I'm guessing the average et/mph is faster now than it was then......
