Re: post your procharger setups - 10/08/10 01:52 PM

this is my old set-up. Nothing fancy. I did it all for around $2200 including carb and fuel system upgrades. Mild 440 (cast pistons) in a 67 cornet best et before boost 12.90 @ 104. (ran 13.0's in the heat) Best et after 6psi of boost 12.08 @114. The kit was for a SBC, I had the crank pulley re-drilled and cut/welded the mounting bracket to fit a BB mopar. car probably would have run easy 11's with a pulley change. Did it but sold the car before I could run it at 8psi.

I did a pro charger project for a customer along with help from Steve Morris. It was a 93 Dakota street driven 394ci,W5 heads,850 cfm pro system blow throw carb with a F1R.It weighted 3400lbs.
The dyno read 998hp with a safe tune up and it ran 9.27 @ 144 in street trim.

yeah but your N/A hemi costs 3x times what aboost wedge costs and doesn't need a ton of converter and can doesn't need to spin to 8k.

I bet it's also FAR from what most of us would consider a street car.

My mild turbo 440 made the Hot Rod Power Tour from Dallas to Green Bay and back without missing a beat. It sucked down 87 octane and gave me 17 mpg.

Yeah, there are naturally aspirated engines making far more power but I bet the guys have far more money than I do in this one and they don't behave as nicely.

Nice, I like it. If I only had the money. I would have the set-up Mopar Rich has in my Cuda.

Is it me, or does that new engine sit higher in the front.

D1SC, 440, stock Eddy heads, Torker II, Comp .488 hydraulic, 5 speed Tremec, 3.54 geared stock weight B body @ 8psi.

Ran 123mph and change, no need to post the ET, lol...

looks fimiliar, same cam 224/234-465/488 no e-heads or 5 speed and only 6psi. never got to try the 8psi pulley. I think my 3.91's worked against me. ran 12.0's at 114.

Nice I just got mine switched over to XFI and a 101mm and water intercooler. I'm gonna give mine all it can handle at least thats the plan. I would love to go that fast but 5. teens will be fine. Good luck with your new set-up.
