THANKS QWK-ENUF{E-85 GOD} - 09/26/10 01:33 AM

for letting me try out your e-85 dom. on my car.I now have a new best of 9.68 at over 138mph. All we did was drain the race gas,put in e-85,slap on tommy's carb and set the fuel pressure. That's an increase of almost 2 tenth's and 3 mph over norwalk last week.

Congrats on the new best. I love running E85.

Did you do back to back runs on the same day?
Can you give us weather comparisons and time slip data from the gas to E85 runs? What size carbs on gas and E85?

Good to hear E85 catching on. I have run it for 3 years (2008, 2009, 2010) after a test in the fall of 2007 convinced me it was a good idea.

Here is as good as any place to first; say how glad I am we've made piece Tom. Secondly, it was great to finally meet you Jerry. And lastly Tom is 'in the zone' on these carbs. I was wondering how your performance didn't pick-up with the change to Victors. Now it seems the carb was the culprit. Good work guys!

The higher humidity on the E85 day would make the weather slower than the gas day. So the improvement is even better than the times alone.

How much compression do you guys have that run on E-85?. I am at 13.4:1 right now. Since reading these posts I have found a few E-85 stations within a reasonable driving distance. $2.45/Gal sure beats $9.00/Gal at the track.
