Kayse and I are going. 
She's racing her 06 Charger Datyona in the Hemi Challenge class.
I'm planning on running my 67 in the trophy class (since with the 273 it's not fast enough for any other class).
Usually we're in the car show, but I'm bored with that and Kayse got here first taste of drag racing (driving) in May and now she's hooked.

I'll be there in No-E and 10.00 class with my '71 Cuda.
Dad will be there with his '66 Cuda running in Street class.
Also going up with buddy of mine that is bringing his beautifully restored '66 4 door Cornet to the car show, yea, I said 4 door but it's one heck of a restoration and different. He won street class in the Mopar National with it in August, hopefully he can double up.

FYI, Lynn Baldwin and his beautiful '71 wheel standing Road Runner, won't be making it this year since they moved to North Carolina a few months ago.

Yeah I didnt think he'd show up.
Anyway, this year will be a bitter sweet effort for me, I'm supposed to be driving this Cuda for my recently deceased friend Chris Mitchell, Moparts member 68plymcuda.
His wife said she would be very in favor of me doing it as MMW was his favorite race of the year, so as much as is possible as a competitor, wish me luck, this is all for them. Look me up Wade, hope to be somewhere near the speaker tower in the middle of the pits.

Wow ken so sorry to hear this.I did not know he passes away. I almost bought his car a couple of years ago until his wife talked him out of it.which i am glad she did for him because talking to him at monster mopar that year you could tell he really did not want to sell it. well any way i am coming up to watch Saturday and will look for you.best of luck mopar65

Ill be there Saturday without the Chally, It will give strokerpost a chance to win. LOL! Anyway for those coming from the west I will say that after 7pm Friday and the rest of the weekend Poplar Bridge will be shutting down some lanes so you might be better off taking Eads or Martin Luther King bridge. There will be some delays on the Poplar bridge.

Anyone know Bill Knehans? He used to be on Moparts all the time, but I haven't seen him on here recently. He owns (or owned) the Silver 68 R/T I built years ago. I know he usually goes to Monster Mopar and I was wondering if he was still an active member on this board. I think his Screen Name was "BillyB_Bad".

I believe this is a good thing ,from the rumors we hope another drag racing group does buy it .
The place might get better we had empty weekends here and the roundy roundy thing wasn't that great .
Till i see it bulldozed its still a dragstrip .
I was the first car down the new track so never thought that was going to happen also .

put my motor back in the car last night. we are going to take off around 3pm. should get to the track about midnight. it didn't make as much power on the dyno as i thought it was going to but should get the job done. we didn't have time to hook up the nitrous. see ya at the track. wes

That will likely depend on whether there is still a line to get in when you get there. They send traffic around the long way to keep Rt. 203 clear.

That's the way they routed all the racers today (Thursday), so don't be suprised if the do it all weekend.

Eric (Irun6sin8th) and I made itnto the finals on Saturday and got to race each other for the $2,500 purse, I went red -.015 to his .024 (he was killing the tree all day long) so he's beat me twice now so it'll be my turn next time we meet. He ran a 9.89 on his 9.93 dial and I ran a 9.93 on a 9.97 dial. I also hurt the tranny so I'm done for the weekend, just as I crossed the finish line I looked in the rear view mirror and saw smoke bellowing out from my car.. hopefully
It's just the converter since I have a spare all ready to go, I'll pull it on
