1970 Street Strip Project coming along nicely. w/Pics - 08/26/10 12:49 AM

Well here is what I've been upto for the past 10months. I've been doing body work since the beginning of spring, replaced the trunk floor with STEFFs assistance and have block sanded until I can't see straight. All of the hard work paid off this past weekend when she got 2 coats of PPG Shopline Base coat and 3 coats of PPG clear.. Check it out..

Thanks Donald,

I just got my World Block and Callies Crank back from Impastato Racing. We ended up taking the Block out to 4.395 Bore and just had the Crank gone through by Moldex. Should end up with 516 Cubic Inches. Still sorting out the Top end.
I plan on running a 727 Trans with a 10" PTC converter. Stock front suspension and one of The Irons Works 4 Link Rear Setup with a Dana 60 Rear.

Re: 1970 Street Strip Project coming along nicely. w/Pics - 08/27/10 01:00 AM

Thank you everyone. I certainly appreciate the compliments. I've always had black cars so this is a big switch for me.

I planned on having some 15" x 7" cop wheels widened to 15" x 9".. But now STEFF has almost talked me into going with a more "BLINGISH" Wheel Combo.... I need to find a set of wheels I like..Any suggestions?

These are shiney and, well...unique...Thats it.

Seriously it is looking killer. Lots of wheel choices out there these days, just get something that will live in a heavy car on the street.

I know everybody has them but they are still good looking... There are some nicer billets out there but damm $500 a piece? A little pricey.

Looking good, Bubba! I vote for the body colored steelies and dog dish caps. Or weld draglites if aluminum wheels get the nod. Keep us posted on your progress

I definitely like the color coded cop wheel idea. They look fantastic in orange. Here they are on my Challenger.

PS. I also like the Welds.
