Just wondering if any of you guys were also making the trip to race with your kids.

I'ld hate to think I had a chance to met someone and didn't realize it

Anyone else going to the Jr Dragster Eastern Conf Finals?

Thanks guys

The ECF is a blast I'm so glad she made it this year

I just got in from polishing her car. Man that thing is bright

I hope the weather is cooler down there as it's humid as hell out right now

Some how I doubt it though

That polish must have got to you. Its HOT. and HUMID. Bristol was the first place that I had ever been to that the humidity was 100%, and it wasn't raining. Down here they call it "air that you can wear". It's a "wet" heat, unlike out west.
Where are you guy's staying/camping? hope to see you sometime this week.

Well, got a little latr start then I hoped and then ran into a nasty storm around Akron Canton area so we only got as far as Marietta tonight.

Looks like Pops alternator in his MH is gone bad so we don't want to drive any further in the dark and end up with no where to stop in the mountains.

My rig will be staying in the pits at Thunder Valley and pops rig will be stay @ the Lazy River camp ground just a couple miles away.

Worst case senerio on his alt is he runs his generator and leaves my big battery charger hooked up while were driving.

Good thing the batteries are under the step and accesable from inside the rig

Bill is that the same alt used on the Dodge Cummins
if so the only thing that goes bad is the brush pack,
I replaced mine a couple of months ago... was like
$12 for the brush pack local here... try tapping on
the alt(in the brush area) it might connect and get
you through the weekend

I wish it was Raff but it's a big SOB

I've replaced the Alt in mine twice and it's really a straight forward task.

Only thing I just thought I might have a problem with is if the new alt doesn't come with the pulley.

I'm sure I can find some place that can help swap it out.

Bill is it still a Denso alt... if so the brush pack
is the same as far as I was told... the shop that
I got my parts from said they were all the same and
he had a drawer full of brush packs... said thats
the only thing that goes bad

Re: Heading out for Bristol today - 07/25/10 11:26 PM

Thanks Raff, we'll see what happens

We got here safe and sound though

Good thing I brought both spare tires out of bith trailers though

Lost the first one around the WV/Virgina border and the second just a few miles from where we were getting off the highway

Can't complain to much as the were 10 yrs old. Air press was fine and they looked great but they say you should replace them aftr 7 yrs regardless so I guess we got 3 exrta yrs on them
