Our Firecore mech and our CD Coil. I can honestly say that the timing is rock-steady with the timing light. Took it to 6 grand, dead-nuts 35 degrees. Never moved. Can't wait to race it. I could spin the distributor 180 degrees if I wanted to. Those who are on the fence, you will not be disappointed. The MSD's are selling used for the same price a new FC Mechanical is selling for..

MAN! You're getting as quick with the keyboard as Mr. P Body!

Thanks, WB...might have to try one of those with the current set up.

Is that the rtr distributor or what ignition box are you running with that?

It is our Mechanical and MSD 6 box. Don at FBO advised me not to use the RTR because its basically a race engine with no vacuum..

so that dist is smaller then the msd dist? i have a compleat msd dist with a 6al box for my 440 but its hitting my valve covers(bad) i had to grinf the crap out of the cast alum covers the dist goes in the motor but i dont have any real rotation to set the timing and now i was looking for a differnt set of alum covers that would clear
soo this dist if it IS smaller did i understand that can use a msd box??
im not wanting to change all im ignition out just basicly either run a differnt set of covers or a smaller dist that will work with what i have

Thanks but I'll keep my MSD you dont have to take the whole distributor apart to change the advance. If you were starting from a clean sheet why would you copy Chrysler style advance, so much easier to just remove the cap.
