Arlen Vanke Grand Marshall

"Akron" Arlen Vanke will be Grand Marshall at the Nostalgia Pro Stock Shootout at Thompson July 3rd.
Arlen will be there displaying his newly restored 70 Hemi Duster Pro stocker as well as his Super Stock Hemi Plymouth. he will also be signing autographs, selling tee shirts and die-cast models.
Stop by a say hi to a true early Pro Stock legend !

Arlen is one of the nicest gentleman - he's been a great help with my research.
However, I did kinda question where it says his "restored" Duster - It's a NEW "replica" of his original Duster, not a restoration.

I was talking to Arlen a few days ago and he's pretty "pumped" about the new car - Mike, I just wanted to clarify so there was no misunderstanding. Thank you for posting the info, wish I could be there !!

It will be a blast to meet Arlen in person. Hopefully, we can get him to retell a few early pro stock stories. Early Pro stock is what made me fall in love with drag racing in the first place.

Reed, I reread our flyer and I see where I gave the incorrect impression that the Duster was "his". We actually made that flyer many weeks ago when we thought Arlen was "only" bringing his Super Stocker. The deal to also bring the Duster was finalized in the last 10 days or so.
