i'm ready to order my pistons for my new build. who's got really nice pistons that you would recommend for a 4.150 stroke with 7.100 chevy rods. this will be for drag racing and maybe a trip around the block. i'm sure that i'll be ordering flat tops to acheive 12.1 comp. thanks for any sugestions

I've got 4.5 bore pistons from J&E and Diamond with 7.100 rods one is a 4.5 stroke and the other a 4.25 stroke. Depends what you're trying to do. consult with the manufacturer.

With 4.150" stroke and 4.500" bore, I take it you will be using heads with around 84cc chambers to get that CR. Are you trying to make a pump gas motor? IMO, that CR is almost no-man's-land. Pretty high for pump gas, and not high enough to take advantage of running high octane fuel. If you are planning race fuel, consider more CR (mill the heads).

i'm sure i'll be useing race gas mixed with premium. i know i really want to run more comp, if so i'll run all race gas. i've been doing that for quite some time allready. 3 gallons of 110 to 2 galllons of premium.

Most anyone can provide those pistons. Diamond, JE, Wiseco, etc. I usually use Diamond for my engines but JE makes nice stuff also.
