M&H Racemasters??? - 06/15/10 11:49 PM

I'm wondering, Has anyone here tried any of their dot drag radials?? Any feed back would be nice.I talked to a guy here and of course their the greatest thing since sliced bread. I was hoping I wouldn't have to be the "ginny pig "http://www.mandhtires.com/store.php?crn=70&rn=291&action=show_detail

John Hashim puts out a quality product... I've used M&H for years. He just doesn't have sizes I use so I use Hoosiers.
John is always at the track taking tire temps and talking with racers. He even disects old tires to see how they held up.

John was the guy who call me back. He was quite the guy on the phone! He said if I bought a set he would be my personal tire tech guy lol! I guess I'll have to be the first here to try them???

I just put a set of their drag radials on my car last week. I plan on taking up to the classic at PRP this friday, so I will let you know how it hooks.

I have a pair for my Hemi 4-speed RR; pretty decent. The Radial T/As normally on it don't stand a chance until well into 3rd gear. The M&Hs bite during powershifts. Last time I did any street driving on them and parked the car in the garage, they glued themselves to the garage floor. I haven't tried the other drag radials so I can't compare them, and this car will spin them a little on the leave, but it's one of those cars that needs a good slick, so I'm OK with the compromise.

What kind of launch rpm are you at? HP? Ive lost a strong 10th&1/2 in the 60' Ive been using the QTP 28-13.50-15.They are about shot. Been thinking of going to a radial. Jeff-383, hope they work great and look forward to a report on them.

Me and my friends all have used QTP's for a few yrs now both at the track and the street. But now they all use M/T Drag Radials at the track and actually picked up at least a tenth to 2 tenths useing them BUT they dont hook on the street so they still use the QTP's for street action.

Re: M&H Racemasters??? - 06/18/10 11:40 PM

My experience was brief, but I'd let the thing go at about 5000, shift at 7000 - 7500. 4.10 gear, pretty much stock weight, 3870 with me in the car @ about 160lbs and 1/2 tank of gas. On the street I could spin them out of the hole but not between gears.
I still have them, mounted on Centerlines, and fronts too, if you're interested.
