the auzzies are doing battle this weekend for the southern hemishpere Winternationals. theres already some carnage on the friday qualifying.

Zappias doorslammer has so far run a 5.83@245.9 mph. thats preddy quick for a doorcar.

That Mustang that had the crash in qualifying, was it the same car that hit the wall at Warwick a few months back? If it was, I'd be walking away from that car.

yes i believe it is. it's getting to the point that there's not much car to walk away from.

Zappia is No1 qualifyer with a 5.81, I talked to him last night he said they have a tune up that will run a .7 but doults the track can handle after his last qualifying run, he thinks the track is too cold.

the kiwi Chris Tynan qualifyed 12th out of 20 which is dammed impressive in that feild of wild animals, I asked him how he feels about his future in nz doorslamma? Chris shrugged his shoulders and said he'd love to just run the car here in future.

the MoPar pro stock car was No1 qualifyer but couldnt make the 4th Q, don't exactly what happend but they must have broke it,

Dont hold your breath m8, very few mopars run the big meetings over here. we have mopar sunday in a few weeks though, but very few run under the 11s because of the cost, not the cost of building the car but the cost of Andra rules that follow a quicker car
