?? For Madras Racers

My wife and I are thinking about going over the mountain for the race this weekend. We used to go over on Friday night, get a pit spot, then just camp out.

Do they still have the gates open on Friday night or do we need to wait until Saturday morning?

I see in the schedule the Friday night "street legal" deal doesn't start 'til mid June so I suspect the gate will be locked on Friday??

Haven't been there in 3 or 4 years so I don't know the program now and don't even know who to call.

The gate should be open? I hope to make it up there also but may not. If I don't make it good luck!

I'm sure they have the gates open, cccall Annie at 541-815-2107 to confirm that. There are people there at 7:30 AM when I pull in on Saturdays so I'm assuming they've been there all night Glad to see that you are able to fix it and get out and come on race at Madras

Thanks guys. However, I'm not countin' my chickens yet. Cars in my shop right now. I'm still trying to sort out some of the glitches we had at Woodburn last Sunday. I give Annie a call today.

Well Saturday I'm working but do plan on coming up Sunday. Hope to see you all there.

As you know I moved to Casa Grande Arizona about ten years ago. It would be a long haul.I miss racing in Portland. I keep thinking about bringing my Scamp up for a few races,and see how it will run in good air.Our DA here is always at least 3500ft and up to 5500ft. I have it running 11.20s here,so it should run in the high 10second range in Portland.Probably 6.80 or so in the 1/8th.

we have three tracks in Az. Firebird is about thirty miles from our house,Tucson is about 80 miles south,and Speedworld is about 80 mi north.
