OUCH, bummer Eric. guess from the sounds of it the damage is more than minor. did you actually break anything or just burn (like that's not bad) it up?

I'm thinking it might be a good time to start my idea of getting kids from the city who would not otherwise have the opportunity to race in JR dragsters.

LOL sure go ahead and get some poor unsuspecting children addicted to this sport so they can share in our misery.

just kidding, do you have a JR or are just looking to start some type of program?

also what were you running in the car? iirc you had SR heads on a RB or is it a lo deck?

First of all congratulations on making it to the final today. Sorry to hear about the loss of oil pressure but make sure your didn't just shear off your oil pump drive. I have a used 440source 500 stroker assembly that we could get up and running on a budget if interested pm your phone number to me and I will call you this week. I also know where a jr dragster is for sale for 1500.00 with engine and only needs repainted. The guy told me it runs 8.50's.

Sorry to hear about your motor.
With the weather /wind we had today, how'd you keep it on the track?

Hate to hear that Eric. Hopefully it's not as bad as you may think and you can get it running again soon.

Congrats on the R/U Eric. Sucks on the engine front but like someone said loo it over may be something simple. I had my oil pressure relief stick and gave me 0 oil pressure.

Looks like a light turn out for that race looking at the other classes. Is that a normal car count? I have noticed some light turn outs at a few races this year. Just curious.

The first thing I would do is drain the oil and cut the filter open.

If you don't have lifter bore bushing maybe you just bent a pushrod and kicked a lifter??
or broke a oil pump drive 0 pressure is not usually bearings. just my
good luck!

Think I lost the motor in the finals.....no oil pressure and it slowed down.

First, congratulations on making it to the finals.

Ouch on the motor. If nothing is sticking out of the block or making noise, it might be an "inexpensive" fix (a few hundred dollars).

as already said congrats on the final and hope the damage is not too severe.
I hope you had the car stickered up well as you may have earned enough contingency to pay for the rebuild...
