Re: Santa Pod UK - 05/05/10 04:33 PM

Unfortunately we won't be at the Mopar Euro Nats rwyb . We can only afford to do so many races a year. We appreciate the offer though
If you can enter the euro finals you will find that the track is a lot better than at rwyb's, we've found it to be 1 -2 tenths better. Super pro ET (6.3 to 8.99 sec) would be a great class for you

Re: Santa Pod UK - 05/05/10 08:06 PM

Eric, way to go with that new best, I know you were aiming for that seven . Flew in on sunday, was raining at Gatwick , so we headed up on monday , sunny down south of London ,but by the time we got to Santa Pod it was raining there . Only a few cars hoping the rain would pass. Maybe I'll locate you when I get to Paris next week. Steve

Re: Santa Pod UK - 05/05/10 10:13 PM

I'm both baffled and impressed.
Slower 60' but much stronger incrementals and final e.t and m.p.h. on the second pass.
But still a super nice lap.
Wheel spin after the shift on the first pass ?
Did the timing change just make it pull harder once it started legging it out ?
Really nice looking car too.

Wish it weren't such a long and curvy road to get there, I would like to come to the euronats too. About 2000€ for the cartrip alone, so I think we can't make it.

Re: Santa Pod UK - 05/07/10 07:38 PM

For those who don't know - Podington AAB (Station 109) was located near the village of Podington, North Bedfordshire, about six miles from the town of Rushden, Northamptonshire. It was the home of the WWII USAAF 92nd Bomb Group and its four squadrons, the 325th, 326th, 327th, and 407th, flying B17s.

I visited there in 1992 while researching the 8th AAF. Very nice track.
