No real upgrades other than the carbon interior, I got the car back from the chassis shop and it was kinda like peeling the layers of an onion back, the car was starting to get tired and I wouldn't be happy just painting the damaged area and moving on.
A little history, the car was built by Willie Rells for the Schribner brothers back in the early/mid ninetys, Kurt Johnson started his career in the car (Torco sponsored) and crashed the car at Phoenix in his second race, the car was repaired by Rells and then Schribner bros sold the car to Art Hodges who was waitng for his new car to be delivered. The car was then sold when his new car arrived to Alan Bowdish in California who ran the car in comp in C and D altered with a small block and liberty in it, they sold it to another comp racer in Tracey Calif who ran the car in B/AA with a 500 inch engine and a torqueflight, I bought the car 6 years ago after selling the challenger to a guy in Denmark. I guess after paying to repair the car etc I can't afford any upgrades anyway
.
The car as it sits is difficult to run by myself and the family friends help deal isn't always that easy to come by with work and home lives etc.
The racing I primarily do the number 1 qualifier goes 6.50 so I don't really see the point in spending a bunch more money on power to still fall short of the number 1 qualifing position, after qualifing its just a bracket race; the faster car at that point is usually at a disatavantage in my opinion, 4 tenths pro tree, likely the person in the other lane isn't going red leaving first and the faster car ususlly isn't as constant on a non divisional level prepped track.
