Looks like I'm a test mule for Firecore now - 04/23/10 12:37 AM

Rick wasn't sure if the new Pro Mod boots would work with the headers I put on the 72 and decided to make our new ones with the top fuel boots and gave me a lead to test fit the pro mod boot.

Good thing he did as the Pro Mod boot would hit the header big time




Guess we'ld rather find out this way as oppsed to a new customer ording them and then finding out the hard way.

Top Fuel Boots fit like a dream though

Bill...Tell more about those boots....I just bought Firecores and don't want to ruin them...Did Gorski supply the cap and rotor? I have to get new ones,too...

Personally, I don't think that bundle of taped wires next to the MC is going last very long being next to that headertube. You might want to reroute them if I where you.
Also, put a grommet around those 2 red wires going through the firewall before they short out.

Yes. we ave the new male post caps for oem distributors now. The boots fit most small block headers. Bill's were the first of their kind I've seen. From the pics, I did not think they would work. Thanks Bill.

Ted, he has different Boots for different applications. My 440 wires have 90* boots for example.

I would highly recomend you get his HEI cap with the wires

I have the same issue on a 68 Coronet 318 with headers. I can't tell but, on cylinders 5&7 are those boots 45 degree angled boots?

They are our heavy duty 180 boots, with stainless steel vari-angle terminals that can be bent. They look and fit great.. Nice pics, Billy..

where can i get one of the hei caps for the stock dist.? looked on the web site, couldn't find them. Price? what colors are available? i'd like to get a black one if available. thnx.

I bought mine at Carlisle from Rick. Red only, unless I bought a whole distributor. Cost me 25, and I love it. He swapped over the wire ends for me as well..

Alright maybe you guys can shed some light on this for me. Bill I really didn't see how you had your wire loomed but, here is my thread with the issue on these wires. They do the same as the Accels on cylinders 5&7. I am thinking a 90 degree boot? Here is my thread. TIA
