knowing Bob that's the last thing I would list.
Either he's as busy as a beaver or shacking up with one

I knew someone would say that about Bob. I wish he would post more, great guy.

I too miss Bob's input on things. Have not had the good fortune to meet him in person. He has given me some good input with PM's and for that I'm thankful. Jim

I don't when he would have time to post, geez he has a lot of work there. I don't know if you could fit another car in the chassie shop or another motor in the engine room.

Thanks for all the kind words and concerns. As some of you know we have been quite busy getting a lot of cars ready for this race season and the heavy construction season. The shop is out of control and we have many construction projects that work both day and night shifts.I'am on call 24/7.This week I will be in the field mananging some emergency highway work on I-70 and at the Liberty Tunnel project in Pittsburgh along with many other large projects. Also I haven't posted much since a lot of racers choose to email and pm me for specific problems rather than post on the site, since a lot of the post end up in pissing matches.Don't get me wrong,I like a good pissing match and enjoy the banter back and forth. It keeps the site interesting.I truely enjoy the site and all the "characters" we meet as well as all the good information. Respectfully Bob

"Also I haven't posted much since a lot of racers choose to email and pm me for specific problems rather than post on the site, since a lot of the post end up in pissing matches."

I sit and read, I dont post when the big dogs get into it, but I hear the same as above from many who could bring and have brought alot to the table on this site that now people just deal directly with one another...very sad.

It seems moparts cant find the balance between the PC world and the real world, being more concerned about a gun, political, religious comment that could be done in a respectful way.

Does this site go by the copa standards? If so the mods ought to lighten up on some of the real world issues.

Reform is whats needed here, let people be themselves in a respectful way, if they cant ban them for good and watch how quick a board straightens up. The membership #s might go down but the quality of the site would improve.

I know not many are reading this, because in the PC world we are all in church this am.

I seen alot and heard alot from members on here that the race section has went downhill...... I have to agree... Ive read posts on other sites talk about the bashing in here and arrogance I havnt met bob yet but I like what he brings to the table

Hemifred has funny pics maybe moparts needs a wild section like YB and keep race a race only

I still like tonyquiktree also

Guys...Toms site...Toms rules! The only bashing I saw lately was when Bob did that Source shortblock...He was posting real world findings and all of a sudden the Source bash starts..That was sad because I respect Bob and his findings...As far as another forum here...No...It isn't needed, thanks! Ted

Re: Bob George - 04/18/10 03:25 PM

Generally everyone is fairly respectable and can agree to disagree and share their opinions and knowledge, which is what I like about the site. The problems occurr when people get too personal.I always said call me an a-hole in jest, and I'll laugh with you, call me an a-hole to demean me and I meet your challenge and raise you to another level. No selfrespecting person would do less.I don't think the site is going down hill, just some members are chooseing the private way of communicating to avoid all the drama that some of the posters do just to start a pissing match. If we could all keep our post meaningful, respectful, helpfull, friendly, and yes, sometimes humorous we will all benifit. It's the posters that use the site for personal agendas and attacks that screw up most any if not all sites, not just Moparts.I can honestly say that I have met some of the greatest friends here on Moparts and consider them "FAMILY"

Thanks,Matt and Doug and everyone for your kind words. It's all the great people here that make this site so meaningful and if any of you ever find yourselves in 84,Pa stop by the "Hog Pen" for some BGR hospitality and if you see us at the track, stop and say "Hi". Respectfully Bob.

Re: Bob George - 04/19/10 10:24 AM

Perhaps just perhaps if threads such as the 440 Source engine build by BGR were truly moderated like reasonable adults we would not have the information quarantined because the offender is an advertiser and some posters are acting like 2 yr olds.

Perhaps we need to discuss the need for some real moderating of information threads that have B$ clouding the view...something needs to happen as a great disservice has been done to the many talented individuals on this site who have taken the time to share their expertise. Yes disagreements will occur, that's why there are moderators.

Regardless, Thank You! Bob George for what you have contributed. Please tell us the rest of the 440 Source story.

Tom's site Tom's rules so Tom needs to come on here and talk to us to keep the ship from sinking...Maybe we can discuss like adults our differences. Maybe...

The build is done and awaiting a car to install it.I will post all info and performance of the build.I'am not the lest upset over the deleted post.I was letting my grandson do the build and report his findings.Nothing was to be gained or benifited to BGR the benifit was to those on the site. They are the ones who missed out on some good unbiased info.

Exactly. Whacked in the continuing Moparts tradition. I got away from the non racing sections for this very reason. Do you ever post on Yellowbullet?

YB,yes, when there is a need to. I really like Moparts better.I'am ok with the way things go most of the time.Usually when someone wants to start a pissing contest with me they end up peeing against the wind and get theirselves wet. Many should get their facts straight before they post.Always count the indians before they circle the wagons.Or as General Custer shouted,"where in the phuck did all those indians come from".Once you put words to type and on the "net world" you will have to explain yourself and the readers will decide who is full of BS or not.You can certainly judge for yourselves as to the character of people and their reasons for posting with the verbage and the manner in which they post.I like to count the indians from the high ground before I ride into the valley

Great outlook and one of a serious racer/technician. Unfortunately there are a few pretenders here who think they are experts...but aren't.

I was just curious about your 68 Hemi Dart that was for sale on ebay last month. Did you sell the car or was it just on consignment with a dealer, just wondering if you still own it?
