I think your right....
4400 is too low.
Will hurt 60ft.

I have a fairly similar combo to you and I have a 5500. Mine works well.

we ran a used 9" Coan that Lenny at Ultimate worked over. Believe it stalled around 5000. We've never gotten the car to 60 worth a hoot. Shock changes, spring changes, ladder bar changes. This spring we're installing an 8" that should stall in the 5500-5600 range. Hopefully that will bring my dads Duster alive. I think the car grabbed a couple high 1.4's, but most of the time it was in the low 1.5's. I'm thinking that high/mid 1.3's should be the norm. We'll see.....

5500 if you can keep it efficient. 5-7% slippage

My old w5 motor worked best at 5200-5300 flash.Buy 5500 isnt going to be off much if any, you didnt mention cam duration or compression either.
