my sons first 1/4 mile - 04/12/10 01:52 AM

went to ntr today for t&t. watched my son go down the track for his first time. I was more excited than him. He went .053 red on his first run then .230 green on the second. Gonna have to work with him as he wants to race the high school class this summer. Cant express what a great feeling it was to watch him.

Thats great ! I remember my sons first pass down the 1/4 mile as he really impressed me. I put him in our 12 second Dart at that time. I made a pass and ran 12.43. His first pass ever down the 1/4 was 12.44 ! Ron

Thanx for all the great comments everybody. For all those who have watched their son, daughter or grandchild on there first pass, and those just waiting, its great to see them do as we did when we were teens.

He packed his bags and said he's going to stay at your house---

He started coming to the CC events with me at Norwalk and Columbus about 8 years ago. He always made sure he was at the starting line when you raced. He loved watching the Mr P Body car do those wild, wheel standing starts you were famous for.

Congrats to him. My 15 year old daughter just got her learner's permit, and I want to train her up for the High School Nationals race.
