what throttle cable and mount?? - 04/10/10 12:54 AM

what cable and mount do most of you guys run???i have the factory 2barr cable with a modi. bracket that i made from the factory 1.. its about 1.5" taller and moved to the front a little...works pretty good but thinking of getting something new...thought about the lokar 1,and thought about the 1s that are made out of alum. tube with the heims ends on it..brother in law had 1 on his car worked really good...set up is alum intake with 1"open spacer...

Mancini Racing sells a bunch of different throttle cables and brackets.

jegs has the best loooking mount and you can use a stock cable. look them up. they mount on the base plate of the carb out of the way.

And they have an intergrated return spring mount.

I use Mancinis bracket and a modified /6 cable on my 440 M1 and Dominator carb.Works perfect.If I didnt have a 65 pedal I would not have to have moded the cable at the pedal.Rocky

That`s what I`m running and w/the 2" adapter it keeps things level w/the carb and not pointing up like others.

i use AndyF crossram indy bracket. works great. his attention to detail is excellant.

What do you have bolted on the carb? Does the throttle cable attach directly to the carb or is there another bracke in there?

stock 6 cy cable and home made bracket..them lokar cable are ok for street rods.. but not good for race cars !

hay thats what my bracket looks like vern i geuss theres no need to buy if what you have works...thanks for all the help guys
