Race Headers for a Dakota - 04/06/10 01:59 PM

Thinking about building a Gen2 Dakota to go racing. Would be a stoked SB. Are there any race headers available for these? I am thinking 1 7/8 tubes.

I had Hooker on my 94 with 1 7/8 primaries.

If you are looking to stroke a 5.2, let me know. I have a set of forged Diamond pistons and Eagle I beam rods for sale.

The only thing I see listed for a Dakota from Hooker is 1 5/8 primaries. I have a stroker engine with Edelbrock heads may change to Indy 360-2 heads. I just thought a Dakota would be easy to do for racing. You certainly can acquire on in good shape a lot cheaper than a older Mopar.

You did not say if this would be a Magnum or LA based motor but here are a couple of links for you. I've been doing a little research on building a 95 Dakota around my 422" W2 motor.

Dang I wish someone made a stainless 1 3/4 or 1 5/8 shorty. I can find steel, but not stainless.

I wonder if I could use a mid length for my turbo app??? Anyone make those sizes in stainless? I see steel...

I was looking to put an LA motor in it. This would be race only so I am not opposed making some room in the engine compartment.
