I know it has nothing to do with power, but I like the old style valve covers..Chris's are really blingy! 572 your just saying that cause yer street B1 motor is bigger than mine(only 540).

Re: A Little Engine Bling.... - 04/07/10 01:03 AM

actually russ we traded the 63 for this and some cash. It will go in the 65 after Pittsburgh prolly.. it will utilize chuck millens plates for an indy crossram.

nope not a secret.

557"
KB block
BME rods
bullet .780 roller
je pistons
B1 originals fully done up by koffels
T&D rockers...

I dont no all of the nitty gritty specs off the top of my head... would have to ask the old man.

Jamie... lol that could be arranged might be fun to see that big motor in that car of yours!

And Russ... you gonna go to the buckeye super stock race at kil-kare May 1st? will you be ready?

Casey, I'm kind of doubtful about being ready for anything in May we shall see. That combo sounds kind of interesting and can't wait to see what it will do. It should be a handfull!!

I am excited about this new motor...557cu.in. KB alum block, Venolia pistons, GRP alum rods and a fully hand ported set of Origonal B-1's. It went 7.40's in a dragster with no spray. It will go in the Coronet after Pittsburg for Beaver Springs since the rules are bare a bit lax there.

Re: A Little Engine Bling.... - 04/07/10 02:14 PM

So does it have JE pistons with Bill Miller rods, or Venolia pistons with GRP rods?

Re: A Little Engine Bling.... - 04/07/10 03:07 PM

Poppaj is right. Grp rods and venolia pistons. I got mixed up! My bad!

That sucks to hear russ! Hopefully you will at least come out to the ccevent and hang out!

SSR I'm assuming we won't be as fast as the TS motor lol. But yea the beaver will be fun. Looking forward to it! And to meeting you and seeing that car of yours!

We are getting the 588 back from the shop today, so hopefully we can do some testing next Saturday!!

Casey, not sure if im going to be ready with the new motor, ive got too many things going on and it looks like the indy motor will be staying in till the suspension and cage are finished. my engine builder is busy with other jobs. still need a oil pan made up and also new headers.
everything else is done.oh and new carbs.
looking forward to a great weekend. you bring the beer ,ill bring the beef and chicken.
