Header hardware? Gaskets?

Header hardware? Gaskets? - 04/02/10 03:26 AM

Whats the best header hardware for RB cast iron heads? I want to do it once and do it right with some detail as well.
As for gaskets, Mr.Gasket Ultra seals? Still the item to use? or copper? Comments?

Whats the consensus here? I need to place an order ASAP.

The best that I've found and used is the Felpro race gasket, PN-Z1414. Very nice, no leaks. I'm going to find out tomorow if thev're any good with alum heads.

ive been using the copper gaskets and one side leaks. I think a lot of it is in the flatness of the header flange

however, most gaskets and I dont seem to get along

We run Mr Gaskets. No problems. My last set I even reused.Have them on 6 motors and no problems.I tried the Percys leaked like a sieve with my TTIs.Went back to the Ulra seals.Rocky

Tell you what, those Indy gaskets look cheap, like card board, about $20 bucks a set, bet they are impressive. They last a long time, dont burn out, and are reusable.
