i am in the process of building a tube chassis 68 cuda with big block & 440-1 heads with strange struts.my question is who makes the best header weld up kit?.the primary tubes will be 2 1/8 to 4" collector.

Most of the bigger chassis shops sell these kits. I always have mine made as I am lame when it comes to header fabbing.

I buy jeg's chevy weld-up kit. It doesn't come with flanges so all you have to do is supply your own. Flanges are available all over the internet starting at about $25 a pair.

I build my own and just order the different diameters
and radius's that I will need... they are fairly
simple if you like doing puzzles... chassis car
ones are the easiest

Question if you you don't mind me jumping in. When building your own headers are you not concerned with the air flow with the insides of the tubes being shall we say imperfect at the weld locations.

You try to make them perfect... but no I dont worry
about weld getting inside(if thats what your asking)
because I tig all my headers and its easy to control
the penetration

Check Stahl for an un-welded set of headers.
They have them for different bodys and tube cars too as I recall.
They also have semi finished..........though I am not sure what that means.
But they were pretty reasonable I thought.......I bought their A body kit without flanges for my W-9 project.
