too bad they don't offer it in a 15x4.

Re: i didnt know Cragar old school in a billet aluminum - 03/22/10 12:56 AM

Too bad they only come in 15x7 and 15x8 also... I'd MAYBE think of a set if they came in 15x12's and 15x4's, for a street car.

Now if they would only make old school Keystones in billet...

I don't think they actually manufacture anything anymore. They just license the name/design to other companies that actually make the wheels.....

my response
Bob
thanks for getting back to me...
In regards to not offering the 4" or 4.5" ss mag in cast aluminum..
Is it a Structural issue? integrity..? or a demand issue?
I posted a link to your web site on a car forum I participate in ..
I was bringing the members to the attention that you are currently making these
series of wheels in cast aluminum..
There was a large response...and request about the narrow rim aformentioned and also great
request for a larger 10" and 12" rim width as well..
if its a demand issue..I might persuade you that there is consideral demand for these sizes..
I am interested in a narrow front rim at this time..and am currently in the market for new rims
the steel versions/options are too heavy for my situation.. vintage dragrace car ..
muscle car...ect
thank you for your attention to this matter

response #2
The problem is the tooling cost is about $ 30,000 per mold and it take a mold for each size. We don’t see the market to recover this.

I would think that would be pretty easy to do.. contact
them and find out... cost might be a issue but IF
you really want them then I guess you could/would
over look the cost

Like Fred I have Tricks on my car plus I have a new
set of Tricks setting in the boxes in the shop...
was going to use them on my Daytona
