New Dana- Progress pics! - 03/20/10 05:35 PM

I recently came across a deal on a D60, it was out of a Challenger 10.5 car that was getting a 9" and 4 link upgrade. It has Strange axles and spool, nicly welded ladder bar brackets, Richmond 4.10 pro gear. So today I mocked it into the car and it's like it made for the car, fits really well and I might have to roll the wheel lips a little bit. Anyway here are some pics.

Who would have thought a 325 radial would look puny on any car?

Those are Weld aluma-stars 15"x12" 6" back space.

Thanks guys, it's great to get a little work done on it. The plan is to have the car a roller this season, the tranny is the next big purchase I need to make.

It looks like a rim with one inch more inset would center the tire and wheel in the wheel tub, which would allow a lower ride hieght, like a canyon carver BTW, the fit is good, are you goig to coil over rear suspension or what type ?

I thought that too, I'd like to pull the wheel in a bit more. I'm going to put my 30x12.5 ET streets on the wheels and see how they look on the car. I'm going to put a ladder bar coil over in it and take advantage of those military ladder bar brackets.

Thanks Rob, when you come by you can see it first hand.

Never thought I'ld hear of someone upgrading from a D60 to a 9".

It's nice to see another pic of you car then on the trailer

Re: New Dana- Progress pics! - 03/25/10 02:54 AM

The worst part is I haven't had a chance to work on the car since the last update in october. That hoist in my garage is handy for working my car but it makes the money to buy the bling for the car. The car spends most of it's in the trailer, waiting it's turn in the shop.

Apparently the guys I got the D60 from are putting one of those big doller fab-9's like what 408strokerdart put in his car. These guys have lots of $$$ so they practically "gave" away the D60.

Ok I mounted up a 30x12.5 ET Street today and threw it under the car. It fits even nicer then the 325 radial, and is slightly larger then the D/R too. Here are some pics.

These bodies just swallow tires. Espicially when you sit them down low. Pops car has a 29.5W on it and it looks puny under it too.

Re: New Dana- Progress pics! - 03/26/10 03:39 PM

Fits good but there is a lot of overhang between the ladder bar mounts and the outer end of the housing. Puts a lot of strain on the tubes. If it was mine, I'd want to move the ladder bar mounts as far outboard as I could.

The car the D60 was in went 8.20's like that and it's still square. If anything the axle would get narrowed and thats only if I was to back half the car in the future.

Re: Progress pics!*UPDATE* - 05/04/10 01:35 AM

Here are the custom ladder bars I made for my car, I have to finish up the cross member and get the tube adapters tigged on, then off to the powder coater.
