Damn... the Trailer is Stuck - 03/05/10 05:26 PM

I wanted to pull the car out of the trailer today
so I plowed the snow in front of it, there isnt any
snow on the south side but in between the shop and
the north side of the trailer(where the sun doesnt
get to) there is some snow BUT the left side tires
are froze in... I'll have to wait till it warms up
more today and see if I cane get it to move... BUMMER

Nowhere near a D9 but I have a D3 here that could probably yank it out

We skid some pretty big logs out of the woods with it I'm sure your trailer you would be no problem

I could probably hook my tractor to the truck and
maybe pull it out but the wife doesnt like to drive
the truck OR the tractor but she's not here, she
went over to her sisters place and wont be back till
after dark anyways, which then everything would be
froze again

Well I got the trailer out... hooked up my tractor
to the truck and pulled the whole thing out till I
got the duallies on the pavement.... now I cant
get to fire up.... E-85 dont like this cold... I
pulled the plugs and they're all wet so I'm going
to try cooking them for a bit(I dont have any spare
plugs that I can find)... I guess I better give it
a drink of regular when I try to fire it again

Hey Mike, A problem with the E fuels, They do not like to sit around with no movement for a bit of time cause the ethanol sucks up water in the air makin it heavier than the fuel and falling to the bottom of the tank <phase seperation> Big problem with gas boats, We have to stir the gas tanks on the boats in the spring before start up other wise you just soak the plugs, seems like there is just something new every year

Yeah I pumped out the tank last fall and put some
fresh E-85 in it today but its too cold to fire it,
was 35* in the trailer about 40* outside... I didnt
have any brake clean to spray it with but I'll get
some tomorrow and some reg gas... I'm all out

I used E-85 at the ice drags and had no issues. It was 8-29* outside depending on the weekend...

Are you sure its not winter grade.... the cold is why
its changed in the winter... it doesnt like to fire,
thats why they change it to about E-70

Re: Damn... the Trailer is Stuck - 03/05/10 09:36 PM

It's whatever came out of the pump at the BP. It was probably winter grade. I don't have a tool to check. The car ran great though...
