Jeeez,I'm starting to feel like a vegetable.. - 02/27/10 08:28 PM

sitting around the garage staring at the car on jackstands, motor on the engine stand and the tranny sitting on the floor, waiting on my intake to come back from Hughes Engines from having some port and runner work done so I can finish putting it all back together and slipping it all into the car.........winter is really starting to bite, anyone else feel like I do??

The only thing that has gotten a workout this winter is my snow shovel maybe I can go out to the garage and check my wrenches for rust pit's.

I don't mind winter, it's when we get all our upgrades done. When spring comes and we pull the cars out, it's all new again...I love that!

But yesterday caught myself sitting in the Dart shifting the 4-speed and making vroom vroom noises so I guess I'm ready for spring

All my upgrades are finished except for the intake,if I sit in the car and make vroom vroom noises then my wife will call the men in white coat's, and I will never be seen again.

I am definitly ready for this snow to melt away. I need some warm weather so I can finish up some painting then put the car back together.

I'd feel worse , but I have been making some good progress so far.
I am not on pace with where I thought I'd be , but I should have it done by May.........I hope
I was laid off for two weeks and could spend mega hours in the garage , but now I am back to the 60 hour week.
This is a ground up deal though and it is easy to see changes happen......a strong motivator.
Then I read about all of the iron you cats are slinging and I don't have to force myself out there when I have a spare hour or two.
This is a sickness.......isn't it ?

But I think I have the right perspective.
I am learning a lot about the brand as I go and what ever I wind up with will be good.
I won't even consider raising the bar until next year.

I feel like I'm running out of time and there's nothing I can do about it
