Hemi Powered Roadster's, T-Buckets, & Altered's. - 02/26/10 02:30 PM
Does anyone here know what ever happened to the old DeSantis & Crider A/SR Hemi powered roadster. I've always wondered what happened to it, or what became of it?

I don't know what became of it, but I remember when Francis Crider brought out the car with a Lenco and won at Columbus (in '73 I believe). Most Modified Eliminator cars were back-half cars with factory-type 4-speeds, this car was cutting edge. There was a feature story in the Dragster about the car, maybe ndragster could go look in his archives for us.
Edit: It was '74 Springnationals, driver was Joe DeSantis, who switched over to drag bikes.

I recall the article on that A/SR said it was basically a Pro Stock car with the roadster body on it. StewartP might be the guy that would know something about it.
A similar car was campaigned by Sanford Bolin out of Arkansas. I bought one of Sanford's old Barnett Hemis several years ago. The heads have RAZORBACK stanped above the exhaust ports. Sanford owns Razorback Transmission in Little Rock.
