How fast have you gone on small tyre? - 02/07/10 01:46 AM

Hey guys would like to know how fast have you gone on a small tyre, 28" x 10.5" x 15" slick on 8.5" rim and leaf springs.

What size eng and what rear end mods to make it work?

Have a 410SB mopar going into early A-Body so need all the info I can get to make it work.

my 28x15x10.5 on 10 rims,leaf ss went 10.41/129 my 10.21/134 was on a spinning drag radial.i will have the slicks back on this yr.446 on 12lbs of boost,dana 60 4.10 spool,mose 35 spline axle.

Ive gone 5.70's @ 119 in my Scamp on 28x10.5's. Theres a video on youtube if you want to see it. Just type in Scamp @ bugday and it should come up. Its a gold 72 scamp.

10.27@ 130.56
9 x 28 M/T slick.
500 inch +stroker
3750 lbs with driver
4.30 gear with a backbraced 8 3/4, monoleafs and Caltrac bars

410" Indy headed smallblock, Glide, Dana 60 with 4.10 gears, 200 hp shot of nitrous. Same motor ran 5.50's @ 127 mph when I put it in my 86 mustang coupe

9.85 on a 28 by true 10 inches wide DOT tire on leafs at 3350

Went a 5.41 @129 on a 29.5x10.5. Weighing in at a hefty 3263# with my W-8 headed smallblock on juice!

Been 5.43 at 130mph, on 275/60 Goodyear radial at #3210 with a single .098 nos jet,422 W9 X block. Planning to go low .20s in a couple weeks.

10/28" true 10' Hoosier Caltracs, 9.30's 142mph
on muscle, whole lot faster on 1 hit

Mine came right from Caltracs, my whole
set up did, shocks, exc. Not 1 complaint
They were very helpful also helping me
get the susp tuned to work

In my 64 that I got rid of I went 9.80 @ 135mph on a 30x9x15 Hoosier slick with leaf springs.

5.65 at 128 mph @ 3500lbs w/ me in it

295-65-15's on 8" wheel

New motor sitting in the dining room about to put back together....should pick up at least a couple hundred more horses.

8.48 @ 159 mph on a 29.5 x 10.5 M/T Slick

525" B-1 MC. Naturally aspirated at 3300 lbs.

My new motor makes over 300 HP more than the B-1, so, it should get interesting soon.

when the colt was leaf spring slide-a-link i went 10.40's 130+ with a 26 x 6W slick 7" now its ladderbar 26 x 10 9.50's 140+

10.47 @ 128 with a 30 x 9" Hoosier radial:

68' road runner 3640# with me, 500" indy ez headed pump gas, 4.10 geared dana, stock leafs and Cal Tracs. Full street legal exhaust out the back.
So should be another 10th or 2 in it if the exhaust came off.

BTW, picked up 2/10's when these went on and the M/T 29.5 x 10.5's came off...........

i have been 10.37@135 with a 255-60-15 mickey drag radial 1.50 60ft
3450 with driver 72 duster
cal tracs
pump gas
175 shot
418 indy headed small block
