Well, here goes nothing..

Going to the track where it happened 2 looooong years ago.. Back to the scene of the crime..as it were.
Hopefully not with the same results..

Going to take baby steps.. Starting with only 1/8th mile hits..

Just a bit nervous, but I'm taking a positive attitude with me..

Was the original plan, but Billy D has to do a Funeral Saturday. So we decided to do this small test at Firebird on Friday.

That way we can possibly go to Speedworld next Saturday..

For some 1/4 mile hits..

Car looks real nice Chris.... I forgot what the original
problem was to cause the crash but hopefully(and I'm
sure it is) that problem has been corrected.... just
like any new car.... take your time at it... good luck

Anyway, It went well, being that the track had more oil, water, and anti-freeze than a drive thru Jiffy Lube..

Al.. You had inside info..

OK.. Nothing spectacular, but the car made 3 really efficient runs.

1st pass was just a foot brake roll into the throttle and get a feel of the car @ around 100mph.
But Billy D didn't want to lose so he just peddled his way to stay in front and ran 12.20 @ 104..
Nothing fell off the car and no fluids were released.. Not even by the driver..

2nd run left @ 4200 on the brake and blew the tires off, just after initial hit, ( 8 psi.) shifted immediately and went a 1.33 60ft. Let off rolled back in it a bit and went 6.59 in the 1/8th mile @ 99.85 and 11.33 @ 92.30 in the 1/4.
Car went straight drove smooth and had no real issues.

Last run left @ 5000 and blew the tires off again..

(7.5 psi)= track sucked.. but still managed 1.29 60ft Billy got out of it as the car was drifting. Went 11.01 @ 88.25

So all in all it was good. Like Al said.. Made it back in one piece.. Really no issues.
Tried to make another run and the trans brake wire vibrated loose from the switch, so the car left before the tree came down.. no info.

Got to fix that..

Yes those are Centerlines.

Will be trying to go out again next weekend to prepare for the big races coming up..banna:

There was a news blip friday from the Phoenix news station. They were extracting a lil red mustang race car from a home. Guess the neighbor backed his car out of the driveway....did something... and his car ended up shooting forward and going into the neighbors home. That would be my luck!

Well, we didn't make it out this last weekend but got the chassis certified..

That means we did everything right..I think..

So now it is virtually ready for the Division 7 opener on the 26th of this month.

The front end should be painted this week. Finishing up small details..

BTW. NHRA 8.50 cert = $150.00 + $50 for the NHRA tech guy...
