Yup, seen it before, and if you ask McLeod, they will say it's "normal". Has happened to a buddy of mine. McLeod told him to reinstall it until it wasn't working any more. He raced it quite a while after that... Never have had it happen with mine, and I've been through 3 disc's now. IF you do want to fix it, send the clutch to Tim Hyatt. After he reworked my clutch, it has been the best it has ever been. Mine will go back to him before going back to McLeod.

imho doesn't seem like a very bright idea to run something like that given the imbalance it would create

Besides balance, it would be a good way to ruin some other things to.

NO WAY it will be run again till repaired.
I`m getting the "failure is normal" vibe from the soft-lok bunch.

it's the consumable part - kinda scary looking though - and to have that thing buzzin around 7000 grand put another couple of 100's in your hand and have a good laugh

No consistancy in slippage with varying surface area, cant believe McCleod would say run it.

Do NOT send it back to McLeod... Send it to Tim Hyatt. It will be fixed right, and come with a thicker disc. Plus it will be cheaper then sending it back to mcLeod.

I talked with McLeod today, said they would replace it "free of charge". So thats what I will do for now.

Can't beat that deal. Are they going to resurface the pressure plate, and flywheel also?

I`m sending the whole thing back and see what they say.
I want to start fresh regardless who does the work or pays.
