Window net installation pictures - 01/22/10 06:41 PM

Anyone have any pictures or can take a picture of their window net installation? I just got a RJS #999 net and the angle of the net is not the same angle as my cage so I would like to see how you guys mounted yours.
Thanks

heres mine, a little tab locks it in on the side bar with a lower rod.

I bent the bottom rod just past where it slips thru the front of the net at a 30 degree angle or so til it intersected with the door bar, and then bent it straight again parallel to the door bar so that the rod would line up and slide into the weld on bushing on the door bar. IIRC I had to buy a longer rod to do this, but they are available at any Home Depot or similar center. For the back of the bottom rod I welded the bushing to the main bar that goes across the main hoop.

Does it matter if they're on the inside or the outside of the cage? Thanks, Bob

What company makes a custom size window net?

Stroud will make you a custom net, but I bet their angled net will fit fine. I went through this exact same thing when building my car. I looked at the measurements they have and ordered one. It was almost a perfect match to my cage/door bar. www.stroudsafety.com
Hope this helps.Beep

RJS will make a custom net for $40. I thought a long time about mine. I used an availible 24"x24" net so I could mount the lower rod in a fixed position. I didn't need a cable at the front. My buddys GTX has a neat system also. The rods are vertical and have a bend in them to follow the contour of the inside of the cage. The front rod can pivot rearward at the bottom. The rear rod is in a fixed position.
