you guys that have been, it looks like everything is done on race day. is that correct?

Pinks All Out is a TV show that reminds me of "Let's Make a Deal" or "The Price is Right", whereas they have a whole bunch of people in the audience jumping up and down begging the host to be chosen as one of the contestants, then one of the few chosen wins the big prize.

I would tow 100 miles to enter a legitimate bracket race before I would even consider going to Pinks.

I've been and I don't know exactly what you mean. Sure didn't see any "butterin' up" as far as the cars or class that was chosen. At least in Seattle anyways.
And if you think they're only going to choose "shiny-clean" cars, you know it ain't so just by watching the show. No paint/no brite can go a long ways!!
And yes...it's a long day...especially waiting for them to announce the field. Not to mention the 5 hours between runs.
Gotta stay out of the "refreshments" etc just in case you're called!!

Make the best of it and have a good time.After that you can say been there done that and won't do it again

i just hope Tony gets interviewed by one of the Pinks guys and he starts rambling about pinion angle and hood pins!

it will be priceless to see him on tv.GO TONY GO!!!!

It's funny with so many guys griping about Pinks,that it always is hard to get a ticket to any of the events.
I went to the one in Indy last year,and had a good time,in spite of not being picked,and the tornadoes and storms coming in.
Just go have fun,I'm thinking about trying to get into another one.It's fun to do something a little different once in a while.

but I'll try again... its not bad for about $20,000

I had three other people trying to get my ticket to Indy for me last year,only my brother was able to get it.He logged back in and could have bought another ticket afterwards.
Nobody else could even get through the first time.
With my snail-speed internet access,I HAVE to get someone else to try for me!

I ran 11.0's at Vegas and had a short day. They took a hi 10's crowd.

Then I ran 10.0's at Famoso and still had a short day. They took the 10.3-10.5 crowd.

Don't know what I'll do at Infineon this year, but bet I still have a short day.

I know I'll have a good time racing and hanging out with Moparts guys though....

How many would you like me to mention Dave, the purse that is. Most racers care more about winning then they do about being on TV. I think you like Rich's bald spot a little too much.

I went to an all out last year dwn. in Marland 5.5 hrs away.. never again. It was a blast being dwn. there with all the racers, There was a pile of race cars, some really wild stuff but I couldn't stand the way they ran the event... He let cars in when they broke out Depending on how the croud reacted when he asked if he should let them stay.

Seriously..You will have a blast...When I went to St.Louis with Lonemopar and bad1970dust...We had fun!!Met a lot of Moparts members and Jimmy got his Duster featured on TV...Ken Herring gave me a Speed TV Pinks All Out crew pass...I was trying to find Rich Cs brother...I also got into the Arm Drop Live at our local track...That was fun..There was a good crowd but no TV...Went out 2nd round to a crotch rocket with nitrous...
